RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The LCSO purchased 26 Ford Interceptors as part of the fiscal year 2017 budget as part of the annual vehicle replacement; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to enter into a contract for the purchase and installation of the accessories; and
WHEREAS, an invitation to bid was issued and extended to 25 vendors and sealed bids were received from eight vendors ranging from a total of $228,644.52 to $249,002; and
WHEREAS, Chicago Parts and Sounds of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, was determined to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who best meets the needs of the County to outfit the Ford Interceptor vehicle in the estimated amount of $228,644.52; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent be authorized to enter into the contract with Chicago Parts and Sounds of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, to procure the outfitting of the Ford Interceptor vehicle for Lake County Sheriff in the amount of $228,644.52 out of account number 101-1102050-83010-000-000-000-11030.
