RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Peterson Road (County Highway 20) is a designated route on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, the free flow of traffic along Peterson Road is beneficial to the safety and welfare to the State of Illinois and the county as a whole; and
WHEREAS, Lake County believes it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Peterson Road at its intersection with IL Rte. 60 could be relocated; and
WHEREAS, the Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America LLC holds an existing right of way easement agreement on land, a portion of which is now owned by Lake County; and
WHEREAS Lake County as owner of a portion of the land upon which the said easement is located has requested that the easement be amended to further define it; and
WHEREAS, the Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America LLC and Lake County are desirous of entering into an agreement to provide for the amendment of the said existing right of way easement setting forth the terms and conditions to each agency, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois that the Chair of the County Board, the County Clerk and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized and they are directed to execute on behalf of Lake County an agreement, and any subsequent amendments thereto, pertaining to the terms and conditions of the above-named amended right of way easement. The County Engineer shall transmit in writing the final agreement to be executed by the Chair of the Lake County Board and the County Clerk.
