•                     This resolution authorizes and directs the County Purchasing Agent to execute a contract with Mauro Sewer Construction Inc. of Des Plaines, Illinois in the amount of $1,879,975.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Lake County Public Works owns, operates, and maintains numerous water systems throughout the County including the Grandwood Park community; and

WHEREAS, certain segments of water main in these areas have reached the end of their service life, resulting in water main breaks causing service outages; and

WHEREAS, the most economical and efficient method to provide reliable service is to replace approximately 4,600 feet of water main in the Grandwood Park water system; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for the Grandwood Park Water Main Improvement Project; and

WHEREAS, Mauro Sewer Construction Inc. is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of $1,879,975.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Mauro Sewer Construction Inc. of Des Plaines, Illinois in the amount of $1,879,975 for the Grandwood Park Water Main Improvement Project.
