R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted by this Lake County Board, the County Engineer heretofore called for sealed bids, by publication, for bituminous pavement removal, patching, and resurfacing on Gossell Road in Wauconda Township Road District, and designated as Section 12-15109-03-GM.
WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication and calling for said bids, sealed bids were received and opened on May 22, 2012, at 10:00 A.M., at the Lake County Division of Transportation in Libertyville, Illinois; a tabulation of said bids being as follows:

WHEREAS, the Public Works and Transportation Committee, the County Engineer and the Purchasing Agent have examined each bid, and it appears that the lowest responsible bidder is Peter Baker & Son Company, Lake Bluff, Illinois, their bid being $90,954.76 based on estimated quantities and unit prices.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that a contract be awarded to said Peter Baker & Son Company, Lake Bluff, Illinois, in accordance with their bid of $90,954.76, based on estimated quantities and unit prices, and that the Purchasing Agent, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County be authorized and they are hereby directed to enter into a contract with said low bidder for bituminous pavement removal, patching, and resurfacing on Gossell Road in Wauconda Township Road District, and designated as Section 12-15109-03-GM.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that inasmuch as such estimated quantities are the best approximation that can be determined at this time, these estimated quantities may be added to or deducted from in the final determination of the contract cost in accordance with Section 5-205.4 and Section 6-701.1 of the Illinois Highway Code without further Board action.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such award and contract be approved on behalf of the Illinois Department of Transportation by the County Engineer pursuant to the Agreement of Understanding between the County of Lake and the State of Illinois dated January 22, 2003, and subject to the approval of the Wauconda Township Road District Highway Commissioner.
