• In January 2024, the virtual server environment will reach end of life support from the manufacturer, putting them at risk of hardware failures and depriving them of the latest security updates.
• Replacement hardware has been purchased and this professional services agreement is to install, configure and migrate into the new system.
• Pursuant to Chapter 33.115 of the County’s Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative joint Purchasing Authorized, the County may participate in a cooperative Purchasing Agreement for the procurement of goods, services, construction, or professional services with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered into between the participants.
• A cooperative purchasing contract with CDW-G has been identified through Omnia Partners (2018011-01) to procure needed goods, services, construction, or professional services that were competitively solicited and awarded.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, in January 2024, the server hardware hosting over 400 servers will have reached the end of life support from the manufacturer, putting them at risk of hardware failures and depriving them of the latest security updates; and
WHEREAS, a new replacement server hardware has been purchased and this agreement for professional services is to install, configure, and migrate into the new system; and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Chapter 33.115 of the County’s Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative joint Purchasing Authorized, the County may participate in a cooperative Purchasing Agreement for the procurement of goods, services, construction, or professional services with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered into between the participants; and
WHEREAS, a cooperative purchasing contract with CDW-G has been identified through Omnia Partners (2018011-01) to procure needed goods, services, construction, or professional services that were competitively solicited and awarded.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this Lake County Board, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into an agreement with CDW-G for professional services to implement and configure the new server hardware in the amount of $168,135 to be charged to 106-1103700-84030.
