Joint resolution authorizing execution of the lease agreement for the State’s Attorney’s Child Support Enforcement Division for office space located at 33 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois, beginning September 1, 2009 through August 31, 2010.

Staff Summary

                     The leased premises consist of Suites 205 & 201 and two covered parking stalls, all located at 33 N. County Street, Waukegan, IL 60085.

                     The proposed lease agreement supersedes the second amendment to the lease that began on September 1, 2006.

                     The term of this agreement shall be for one year beginning September 1, 2009, and ending August 31, 2010 with annual rent for the leased premises to be $50,337 payable in 12 equal monthly installments of $4,194.75, which is the same amount paid in the previous year.

                     In all other respects, Lessor and Lessee confirm this agreement (effective September 1, 2009) shall replace all previous covenants and agreements, and riders.  In the event of any conflict, this agreement shall control.

Body

                     WHEREAS, the State’s Attorney’s Child Support Division is currently located in leased property located at 33 N. County Street, Waukegan, Illinois; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the proposed lease agreement is a third amendment to the lease agreement that began on September 1, 2006; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the lease agreement is for the period September 1, 2009 through August 31, 2010, at a rental rate of $4,194.75 per month, $50,337.00 annually; and

 

WHEREAS, the 2009 rental rate has not increased from the 2006 - 2008 rate; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the State’s Attorney has recommended that the lease be renewed, and the Law and Judicial Committee and the Financial and Administrative Committees concur with the recommendation;

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Chair of the Board is hereby authorized to execute the lease amendment as described above for the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Child Support Enforcement Division.
