WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication on for Lease of Record Storage Facilities for Lake County, IL; and
WHEREAS, invitations for bids were extended to 39 vendors; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from five vendors and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, Illinois on May 30, 2012, at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, Vanguard Archives, Franklin Park, IL is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who best meets the needs of the County; and.
WHEREAS, the contract with Vanguard Archives, Franklin Park, IL provides for storage of the County’s records at no cost for the initial two-year term; and
WHEREAS, the estimated annual cost for the initial two-year term is based on service fees for retrieval and re-filing of records.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Vanguard Archives, Franklin Park, IL in the estimated amount of $35,846.40 for a two-year period with renewal options for Lease of Record Storage Facilities, charging the costs thereof to account #101-1220010-72250-031.
