Joint resolution authorizing the execution of an agreement between Lake County and Commonwealth Edison Company, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois providing the terms and conditions by which said Commonwealth Edison Company will grant easements necessary for the northerly extension of Midlothian Road. This resolution appropriates $30,000 of Matching Tax funds for compensation for said easement and designated as Section 09-00244-03-FP.

                     Midlothian Road will be extended from the existing county fair entrance northerly to Harris Road.

                     Commonwealth Edison Company, Oakbrook Terrance, Illinois is the owner of real property situated within the proposed right-of-way of Midlothian Road extension.

                     In order to accommodate the construction of said Midlothian Road extension easements are needed from said Commonwealth Edison Company.

                     This resolution authorizes the execution of an agreement for the acquisition of the necessary easements and appropriates $30,000 of Matching Tax funds.

R E S O L U T I O N

 

WHEREAS, Midlothian Road (County Highway 48) is a designated route on the county highway system; and

 

WHEREAS, Midlothian Road will be extended northerly from the existing fairground entrance to Harris Road; and

 

WHEREAS, Lake County by and through its Division of Transportation has caused to be prepared preliminary plans and right-of-way plats, said plats identifying right-of-way needs and depicted in Exhibit B contained within the agreement attached hereto; and

 

WHEREAS, Commonwealth Edison Company, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, is the owner of property situated within the proposed new right-of-way lines of Midlothian Road; and

 

 WHEREAS, Lake County and Commonwealth Edison Company are desirous of entering into an agreement stating the current terms and conditions by which Commonwealth Edison Company will grant said easements to the Division of Transportation for the extension of Midlothian Road, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Chair of the County Board, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County, Illinois, are authorized and they are hereby directed to execute an agreement between Lake County and Commonwealth Edison Company, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, stating the terms and conditions by which Commonwealth Edison Company will grant easements to Lake County for the said extension of Midlothian Road and designated as Section 09-00244-03-FP.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that there is hereby appropriated $30,000 of Matching Tax funds for the acquisition of these easements and designated as Section 09-00244-03-FP.
