Body
WHEREAS, the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center has been awarded three new grants, grant increase and other revenue increases delivered by our Behavioral Health, Population Health, and Primary Care Service Areas; and
WHEREAS, these dollars will provide a legitimate increase in services to Lake County with no impact on local taxes; and
WHEREAS, these grant and additional funds totaling $1,149,508 have not been previously appropriated, having been awarded after adoption of the Fiscal Year 2013 budget; and
WHEREAS, the proposed appropriation will be fully offset by the above referenced items thereby not requiring the expenditure of local tax revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $1,149,508 is hereby authorized in the Health Department budget as identified on the listing of expense and revenue budget modifications attached hereto and made part hereof; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the revenue budgets as identified on the attached listing be modified as provided by increased funding from the following:
• IL. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and
Services Admin Section 330 - Patient Centered Medical Home, $ 55,000;
• SAMHSA - Trauma Informed Care for Youth and Families, $ 400,000;
• IL. Department of Public Health - HIV Prevention, $ 21,735;
• IL. Department of Public Health - IL Tobacco-Free Communities, $ 32,751;
• IL. Department of Human Services - Substance Abuse Prevention Program, $ 33,253;
• IL. Department of Human Services - Personal Responsibility Education Program, $ 84,769;
• IL. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and
Services Admin Capital Grant - School Based Health Center, $ 500,000;
• Target Corporation - Reach Out and Read, $ 2,000;
• IL. Department of Public Health - Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program, $ 20,000.
