•                     There is a need to enter into a contract with a successful vendor to provide collision repair services for Lake County.

•                     Lake County Division of Transportation oversees the management of the contract to ensure the contractor performs repairs in accordance with the appraisals and specifications, including pick-up and delivery.

•                     There was a public call for bids, and a total of one bid was received, and the lowest responsible bidder is Allanson Auto Body, in the estimated annual amount of $189,000.

•                     The contract authorizes a one-year contract with four one-year renewals.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, there is a need to enter into a contract with a successful vendor to provide collision repair services for Lake County; and

WHEREAS, the contractor shall perform repairs in accordance with the appraisals and specifications, including pick-up, delivery, for the percentage discount bid off said appraisals for labor and body parts; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 33.036 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, a bid was called for, by publication, for collision repair services for the Lake County Division of Transportation; and

WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from one vendor at the Lake County Administrative Building, Waukegan, Illinois, on April 13, 2021; and

WHEREAS, based on the criteria set forth in the bid; the staff evaluated all bids submitted and determined that the bid submitted by Allanson Auto Body, Mundelein, Illinois, in the estimated annual amount of $189,000 is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for Lake County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a contract with Allanson Auto Body, for collision repair services in the estimated annual amount of $189,000, charged to the Risk Department account #206-1440010-72180-000-000-000-00000.
