• Nomad Technologies Inc., Eden Prairie, MN was previously awarded a bid in September 2006 for a multi-media presentation system that provides multi-media technology to judges, attorneys, and other courtroom personnel.
• Lake County Courts purchased additional multi-media presentation systems to program additional courtrooms and offices in Fiscal Year 2008 and now there is a need to purchase additional systems.
• The additional systems must be of the same manufacturer, to the same configuration for integration, standardization, and ease of use.
• The Purchasing Agent previously consulted with an ad hoc review group and determined that this purchase is exempt from bidding on the basis of sole source.
• This purchase will cost $65,984 charging account 101-1103355-84100-000-000-000-11203.

WHEREAS, Nomad Technologies was awarded a bid in September 2006 for a Multi-Media Presentation Systems that provides multi-media technology to judges, attorneys and other courtroom personnel; and
WHEREAS, Court Administration purchased additional Multi-Media an additional Multi-Media Presentation Systems in Fiscal Year 2008 to expand the program to additional courtrooms and offices; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to purchase additional presentational systems in Fiscal Year 2009; and
WHEREAS, the additional systems must be of the same manufacture, to the same configuration for integration, standardization and ease of use; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Article 6, Section 102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, the Purchasing Agent previously consulted with an ad hoc review group and determined that this purchase is exempt from bidding on the basis of sole source.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to issue a purchase order to Nomad Technologies, Inc., Eden Prairie, MN in the amount of $65,984 plus future purchases at the original bid price basis, charging the costs to account 101-1103355-84100-000-000-000-11203.
