• To maintain the current level of service for the equipment, there is a need for ongoing extended warranty of hardware and software maintenance for the building automation systems.
• Pursuant to Article 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered between the participants.
• This contract authorizes the services contract with Johnson Controls, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $69,651.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, to meet County goals of energy and operational efficiencies, the County utilizes a Building Automation and Controls Network (BACnet) to monitor the functionality of the equipment; and
WHEREAS, the hardware and software maintenance agreements from the original installation of the boilers, chillers, and air handler units at the various County facilities has expired; and
WHEREAS, to maintain the current level of service for the equipment there is a need for ongoing extended warranty of hardware and software maintenance for the building automation systems; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Article 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered between the participants; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into an agreement with Johnson Controls, Inc., Arlington Heights, Illinois for the Johnson Controls boilers, chillers, and air handler units for various County facilities in the amount of $69,651, charged to 101-1220030-72250-000-000-000-00000.
