R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Cedar Lake Road (County Highway 28) is a designated route on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, Cedar Lake Road will be extended northerly from Townline Road to Illinois Rte. 120; and
WHEREAS, there currently exists a right-of-way agreement between the Village of Round Lake and Lake County dated March 20, 2006 and amended April 11, 2006 for the construction of the Cedar Lake Road extension; and
WHEREAS, Provision 11 of the right- of-way agreement gives the Village of Round Lake the option to add the construction of an unnamed stub road connecting Beacon Lane to Cedar Lake Road as part of the construction of said extension; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Round Lake shall reimburse the County for the addition of the stub road to the construction work; and
WHEREAS, Lake County and the Village of Round Lake are desirous of entering into an agreement for the construction of an unnamed stub road connecting Beacon Lane to Cedar Lake Road as part of the construction of the extension of Cedar Lake Road (Townline Road to IL Rte. 120), a draft copy of said agreement attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois that the Chair of the County Board, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized and are hereby directed to execute an agreement between Lake County and the Village of Round Lake providing the terms and conditions for the construction of an unnamed stub road connecting Beacon Lane to Cedar Lake Road as part of the construction of the extension of Cedar Lake Road (Townline Road to IL Rte. 120), designated as Section 06-00266-01-FP, and such authorization shall include any necessary subsequent amendments.
