• LCPW owns and operates a gravity sewer main along Deerfield Road, which serves portions of the Villages of Riverwoods, Deerfield, Lincolnshire, and Bannockburn.
• This sewer pipe is located within the project boundary of the Deerfield Road Reconstruction project managed by the Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT), necessitating replacement of the sewer pipe.
• LCDOT secured engineering services through full and open competition, and Christopher B. Burke Engineering, LTD is performing Phase II Design Engineering Services for the LCDOT project, Deerfield Road Reconstruction in accordance with the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance and Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, 50 ILCS 510/1 et. seq.
• Due to the need for coordination, it is most advantageous and efficient to secure sewer design services from Christopher B. Burke Engineering, LTD and for the design to be performed in conjunction with the LCDOT project.
• This resolution authorizes and directs the County Purchasing Agent to execute an Agreement for Professional Services with Christopher B. Burke Engineering, LTD. of Rosemont, Illinois, in the amount of $63,458 for this work.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns and operates gravity sanitary sewer mains throughout the County including along Deerfield Road serving portions of the Villages of Riverwoods, Deerfield, Lincolnshire, and Bannockburn; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County Board authorized a contract with Christopher B. Burke Engineering, LTD, as the principal agent of Lake County Department of Transportation (LCDOT) for the Deerfield Road Reconstruction Phase II Design Engineering Services; and
WHEREAS, due to the necessary coordination and the efficiencies of the overall project, Lake County Public Works is seeking design engineering services for Deerfield Road Gravity Sewer Replacement Project to be done in conjunction with LCDOT’s project; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Purchasing Ordinance and the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, an Agreement has been negotiated with Christopher B. Burke Engineering, LTD, Rosemont, Illinois, to provide the necessary professional engineering design services (50 ILCS 510/1 et seq).
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Christopher B. Burke Engineering, LTD, Rosemont, Illinois, in the amount of $63,458, for design engineering services associated with the Deerfield Road Gravity Sewer Replacement Project.
