Staff Summary
• At its February 2018 meeting, the Lake County Board authorized a contract with Thyssenkrupp for elevator service and maintenance of various County facilities at an estimated annual amount of $78,240.
• Facilities and Construction Services (Facilities) identified a cooperative purchasing contract with Thyssenkrupp Elevator through the National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance (NCPA) to procure elevator maintenance and repairs that was competitively solicited and awarded.
• There is a need to modify the award to add two elevators at the Babcox Justice Center.
• In accordance with Article 8, section 101(2) of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, this modification was not reasonably foreseeable at the time the contract was signed it is hereby requested that the Purchasing Agent be authorized to enter into Contract Modification Number One.
• This resolution authorizes Contract Modification One with Thyssenkrupp Elevator in the amount of $12,600, increasing the total estimated contract amount from $78,240 to $90,840.

1. At its February 2018 meeting, the Lake County Board authorized a contract with Thyssenkrupp Elevator, Lombard, Illinois for elevator service and maintenance of various County facilities in the estimated annual amount of $78,240.
