Illinois Department of Public Health, Comprehensive Health Protection Grant, Additional $12,000 - Kritz

As part of the annual Comprehensive Health Protection Grant for State FY 2020 (July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020), LCHD received funding for Perinatal Hepatitis B prevention. As this is a new initiative to the grant, dollars must be appropriated. The Perinatal Hepatitis B program will cover salaries and fringe benefits for existing staff. Expenses occurred in FY 2019 and will occur in FY 2020, so the appropriation is split between both fiscal years.
Suggested Motion
To approve the additional grant funding of $12,000 from the Illinois Department of Public Health to support a perinatal hepatitis B prevention initiative within the Comprehensive Health Protection grant.
