Body

Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center received a grant renewal through the Illinois Department of Public Health for the Cities Readiness Initiative program in the amount of $106,013.  The period of performance is from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. $61,841 will be appropriated in LCFY26.  The purpose of the funding is to assess, prioritize, build, train, and deploy the resources and capabilities needed to save lives and prepare for public health events requiring the mass distribution, dispensing, or vaccination of emergency medical countermeasures from the Strategic National Stockpile. This will fund supplies, contractual services, and offset existing staff salary and fringe benefits.

Suggested Motion

To approve the Illinois Department of Public Health, Cities Readiness Initiative grant funding of $106,013 and emergency appropriate $61,841 for FY26.
