The Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center receives Medicaid Match Managed Care Organization (MCO) funding annually from the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC). The approved County Budget policies allow for these funds to be used as the primary source of funding for the Health Department’s capital and facility projects, in accordance with the Health Department’s approved capital improvement program. The Medicaid Match revenue and expense will be recorded in sub-fund 211 of the Health Department.
